Janice Boughton

Janice Boughton is a primary care physician, Fellow of the American College of Physicians, in practice for 25 years. She is a hospitalist and internist in her hometown in Idaho and also in other Western states in her midlife walkabout. She travels often to Africa and Haiti to participate in public health projects there. Her special medical interests are bedside ultrasound and healthcare economics (whyisamericanhealthcaresoexpensive.blogspot.com). She is a longtime meditator and student of Zen koans which informs her medical practice in ways both predictable and refreshing. She cooks and sings and sews and plays guitar in her spare time.
