Rachel Boughton studied Theatre and Art and Music composition at Oberlin College. She continued as a composer at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics at Stanford and at the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College and then veered back to Theatre and Art at the University of Washington. At that point she became a mother of kids and dogs and thereafter a sculptor and a Zen teacher. Along the way she has taught herself to write. At present her ravenous imagination and inability to focus on just one thing has her studying Jungian Analysis at the Jung Institute in Zurich Switzerland, although she lives in California where she teaches Zen and makes art when she can. A Jung-Zen-Art hybrid interests her very much. In her spare time she cleans house.
